'Form follows nature’ is the guiding philosophy behind Occony the Amsterdam-based furniture brand that finds the sweet spot between aesthetically-pleasing pieces and sustainable practices. Taking cues from nature, each piece they produce is made from natural and recyclable materials with infinitely repeated lifecycles. When working on the Occony branding, we wanted the logo to visually represent the perfect symmetry that exists in nature. The typeface itself—MALAYALAM MN—is a palindrome, which encapsulates the brand’s fully circular philosophy. No beginning, no end. We love to work with people and organizations, that have a plan, a creative vision and the ambition to move their business forward in a positive way. That’s why we loved working together with Occony who believe in nature's unending and repeating life cycles. They created a circular design solution that follows the same concept.
